About Hazelwood

Hazelwood is the second largest neighborhood in Portland, Oregon (2,587 acres, about four square miles) and has the most residents—about 25,000 in 2023.

 

Hazelwood includes the Gateway Urban Renewal Area (658 acres), Gateway Transit Center (served by MAX Red, Blue and Green light rail, and six bus lines), Glendoveer Golf Course, Mall 205, Adventist Medical Center (hospital), several smaller shopping centers (Gateway Shopping Center, Plaza 205, 205 Place, and Menlo Park Plaza), and more than 800 businesses. Much of the neighborhood falls within the boundaries of the Gateway Area Business Association (GABA).
